From Family and Friends

My name is April and I am the mom to Brittany.  They have asked me to write something in their behalf regarding them as possible parents to an adopted child.  May I say, that I am so proud of them for their huge accomplishments that they have achieved.  Patrick is a wonderful high school   teacher, involved in girls basketball and DECA.   His students love him and his way of teaching.  He also works for me at my business, doing marketing and production.  He is so conscientious and hard working.  He has the foresight to know what needs to be done and when, and his organizational skills are superb.  I know that he would have great ability to teach a child at any age and would love them immensely.  I have observed him around his many nieces and nephews, and he is so patient and kind.  He loves to play with them and let them hang all over him!  He was brought up with morals, and chores, and will teach their children respect and responsibility. Brittany, my daughter, what can I say?  She is a wonderful woman with a huge heart and cares about everyone.  Ever since she was a little girl, her dream was to find her "prince" and have many children of her own.  Well, she found her prince and then found out she could not have children.  Brittany is a warrior. She has overcome so many obstacles and hurdles in her life.  Her disappointment in not being able to have kids, was replaced with a smile and an attitude of becoming a mother to someone special in need.  She is so excited to find a wonderful child that needs a clean, loving and respectful home, that will help make her beautiful life complete.  Brittany is a registered nurse working at a large hospital.  She takes care of sad and ill patients.  She has had so many compliments from them on her beautiful smile, loving hands, and funny personality.  Brittany takes lemons and makes lemonade.  That is always how she has been.  Adaptable, funny, nonjudgmental, caring and the most wonderful daughter I could have ever asked for! -April Harmon -Dear Birth Mother, I have known Brittany since we were kids. We have celebrated anniversaries, birthdays, and vacations since we were old enough to walk and talk. Although we are cousins by the 3rd degree, I feel we are closer than that. We use to live on opposite sides of the country, until recently. Again, we felt closer than that. I remember meeting Patrick for the first time and it seemed as if we were childhood friends. We clicked immediately and our conversations ranged from our careers, to sports, and hobbies to name a few. As a couple, they couldn't be a more perfect match and every couple should take a Paige out of their book. They both have successful careers, participate in adventurous weekend hobbies, and possess a strong family support system. A few months ago my job took me by their home. With little notice I asked if I could drop by. Without asking, they prepared a full spread dinner, created a place for me at their table, and didn't allow me to help with dishes! This is just one of many examples where Pat and Brittany went out of their way, made a guest feel welcomed, and provided a carefree environment that makes you wish your stay was longer. It shouldn't shock you that this is a positive recommendation; however, Patrick and Brittany Paige are excellent parents, positive role models, and a successful, powerful team. If you are looking for enthusiastic, joyful, and fun-loving parents, your search is over. Your child(ren) will be loved and cherished for years to come and will always have a place in our homes and in our hearts. Brittany and I go way back! Back to like 1st grade. We were really good friends all throughout school until I moved in 9th grade. We used to have sleepovers and go to Lagoon every weekend. Her parents are amazing and always made sure Brittany had a good life and was able to do fun things! Her mom taught us how to be ladies!! She always looks so nice and made sure Brittany looked nice too and had her toenails painted!!!! Even though I moved we have stayed in touch. She has grown up to be such an amazing person and she has a huge heart! I don't know Pat but I know she sure loves him! He has a great job and treats Brittany very well. They have a solid marriage and are just snuggling into a brand new home! Becoming parents is definitely the right step and I know Brittany would be an excellent mother! She is smart and funny.. she loves her dogs more than anyone I know!!!! I know these 2 amazing people will become parents.. it's just a matter of when that day comes! I have no doubt in my mind that would be one of the luckiest kids ever! I pray for these 2 everyday and I wish more than anything that they could be come parents. They want it, and they DESERVE it. My fingers are crossed. I love ya both!   Love- T Olsen -We are Brittany and Patrick's Grandparent's and we have known them for about 7 1/2 years. They both love children, good personalities, compassionate, well educated and have professional jobs. I believe they would make good parents and give a child a home filled with love. -Grandpa Doug & Grandma Kathie ;o) In high school I had Patrick as a coach as well as a teacher. In basketball, he was always willing to sacrifice of his time to help me improve my skills and become more confident in my abilities. In the summer, when he was working another job, he would make the commute to put us through work outs in the morning even though there weren't very many of us that would show up. He is also a wonderful teacher. He makes the effort to get to know his students and help them to not only learn the material, but enjoy it. Seeing the kind of care that he shows for his students it is easy to see that he would do anything he could for a child of his own. Brittany, busy as a student in nursing school, would still make the effort to come to our games to support us as well as her husband. The love and support they show towards each other as well as others would make them the kind of parents a child would be blessed to have. -A Wilson Pat and Brittany will make the best parents any child could hope for and will be very lucky to call them Mom and Dad! They started out in high school being very good friends and became soul mates, taking it to the next level with marriage While they became professionals -Pat a school teacher and coach mentoring his students long after the school bell rang Brittany became a nurse working long hours and becoming a Mary Kay consultant and a dynamo make up artist. Pat and Brittany have so much love to share they wanted to expand their family but God had another plan. A child awaits for loving parents, with a large extended family and both Pat and Brittany will be able to share their love, home and family for a very lucky child. -C McGowan   I have known Patrick and Brittany for years.
